COVID 19 - Health, Safety, and Welfare
As an architecture firm W Design is charged with protecting the public’s health, safety, and welfare. We apply the same line of thinking with our employees, friends, and family.
As an involved community partner, W Design must do our part in helping to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus while maintaining a responsibility to our workers and continuing to provide outstanding service to our clients.
To accomplish this W Design has enacted the following plan based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations.
Implemented work from home strategies to increase space and limit face-to-face contact between staff. Our office will remain open with a smaller staff.
Revised leave-policies for max flexibility for staff.
Continued encouragement for our staff to practice healthy behaviors including staying home when sick, covering coughs and sneezes, and frequent hand washing.
Requested staff to review whether communications could be handled over the phone or via email as opposed to face to face meetings.
Discontinuing nonessential travel.
Maintaining regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting.
W Design’s biggest concern is a situation where our workforce is dramatically reduced affecting our ability to do our jobs. As we have enacted our plan to address this concern, we ask our clients, consultants, and friends to understand that doing the right thing could disrupt our normal operations. However, we will strive to continue providing our same great service as we all face the challenges ahead.
